Managing Director of Kelang Port Terminal – Abdul Samed Mohamed
I feel honoured by the invitation from PKSAA to say a few words in the souvenir programme specially published in conjunction with their annual dinner.
PKSAA, as a gathering of players within the shipping fraternity, and KCT have several objectives and aspirations that are common. One of them is the desire and commitment to actualise the Government’s aim to make Port Klang a truly effective gateway for the country’s sea-bome trade. The path towards attaining this target requires that all players within the port and shipping sectors join hands and pool their strengths and expertise and work in unison. This path also calls for a great deal of dialogue, consultation and co-operation, which our years together have happily shown that we do not lack in.
The remaining agenda that we all committed to is to continue to positively show-case Port Klang as world-class port worthy of the confidence of investors and ship-owners alike, now and in the years that will follow. On its part, KCT has been and will continue to be a committed player in this crucial partnership of efforts.
I wish to congratulate PKSAA and their members on this happy occasion, and renew our company’s willingness and commitment to work together with PKSAA members in the effort to make Port Klang measure up to the trust given to it by the Government and the trade fraternity alike. Thank you.
